Welcome to the Akao.io Affiliate Program (“Program”).
These Affiliate Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules and responsibilities of participating in our program. By signing up as an affiliate or promoting Akao.io products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Enrollment

To join the Akao.io Affiliate Program, you must submit a valid application through our affiliate portal.
We reserve the right to approve or reject any application at our discretion. Reasons for rejection may include:

  • Inappropriate or illegal content on your website or social channels
  • Misleading marketing practices
  • Conflict of interest with Akao.io

2. Affiliate Responsibilities

As an Akao.io affiliate, you agree to:

  • Promote our products honestly and in compliance with all applicable laws (including FTC disclosure requirements).
  • Clearly disclose your affiliate relationship (e.g., “I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link”).
  • Avoid any spam, misleading claims, or false advertising.
  • Not use paid search ads (Google Ads, etc.) that bid on Akao.io brand keywords or similar variations.
  • Not impersonate Akao.io or represent yourself as an employee or partner of the company.

3. Referral Links and Tracking

  • You will receive a unique affiliate link or tracking code after approval.
  • You are responsible for correctly implementing your affiliate links.
  • Commissions are tracked automatically through our affiliate system when customers use your referral link and complete a valid purchase.
  • Akao.io is not responsible for tracking errors caused by incorrect link setup or browser issues.

4. Commissions and Payments

  • Affiliates earn a commission on eligible sales generated through their unique referral link.
  • Commission rates are determined by Akao.io and may change with notice.
  • Commissions are calculated based on the final sale amount, excluding taxes, shipping, and discounts.
  • Payments are made via PayPal (or another approved method) once your balance reaches the minimum payout threshold (e.g., $50).
  • Payments are issued monthly, typically within 15–30 days after the end of each month.
  • Refunds or chargebacks will result in commission adjustments or deductions.

5. Prohibited Activities

Affiliates may not:

  • Use unauthorized coupons, discounts, or false promotions.
  • Use “cookie stuffing” or any deceptive tracking practices.
  • Purchase products through their own affiliate link.
  • Use fake traffic, bots, or incentivized clicks.
  • Violate any intellectual property rights of Akao.io or others.

Violations may result in immediate termination of your account and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.

6. Termination

Akao.io reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Program at any time, with or without cause.
Upon termination:

  • You must stop using all affiliate links and promotional materials immediately.
  • Any unpaid commissions for fraudulent or invalid sales will be forfeited.

You may also terminate your participation at any time by contacting affiliate@akao.io.

7. Relationship of Parties

Nothing in this agreement creates an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture.
You are an independent contractor and are solely responsible for your own taxes, expenses, and legal compliance.

8. Limitation of Liability

Akao.io is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the Affiliate Program.
Our total liability under these Terms will not exceed the total commissions paid to you in the previous 6 months.

9. Modifications

We may update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.
Continued participation in the Program after changes means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
